Welcome to the Northwoods Homesteader. I am so glad you stopped by. My name is Merrie Knightly and my husband Ken and I homestead on 80 acres in the northwoods of Maine. We have lived here for more than 20 years now and have been slowly developing our homestead over that time. Right now both of us work full time off the homestead which is why some things are taking a little bit of extra time to achieve and why we have not gotten some of the livestock that we would like.
I hope to share our projects, ambitions, successes and things that don't work out as we actually hoped. Of course that is the way that life is. My wish is that you will enjoy visiting with us and learning from those successes and trials.
